Hair Transplant Treatment: All You Need to Know

Due to the baldness stigma of our society, bald people usually get mocked or laughed at, and that can be quite demoralizing for them. And because of that, they experience a lack of self-confidence and low self-esteem. For some, it might be a joke, but for bald people, it's depressing and self-conscious.

Hair loss can be caused by several factors, such as hormonal factors, medical conditions, and medications. However, some people also choose to go or stay bald as per their preferences while some opt for a hair transplant in order to enhance their appearance.

If you are one of those people who are tired of their baldness and would like to enhance their appearance but are confused if they should go for a hair transplant or not, then your search ends here.

Aayat Skin Cosmetic & Laser Clinic, the best hair transplant clinic in Panipat, provides an article covering everything you need to know about hair transplants.

What is hair transplantation?

Basically, hair transplantation is a treatment to add more hair to an area on your head that may be thinning or balding. In this whole procedure, grafting is used to take hair from thicker parts of the scalp, or other parts of the body, and placing it on the thinning or balding area.

Is it a good idea to get a hair transplant?

Yes, of course, it is!

This is a very safe procedure, and the patient can return to normal activities the following day with just a few precautions.

And when it comes to hair restoration, it grows back very naturally with a proper hairline concealing any signs of surgery and implantation. A surgery's cost is completely dependent upon how many grafts are required to fix the problem. This surgery can be performed in two ways, by FUT or by FUE.

Follicular unit transplantation (FUT)

  1. During FUT, a surgeon cuts a strip of skin from your scalp, usually from the back of your head.
  2. Once the scalp is removed, they stitch the area up.
  3. Then surgeons use a scalpel to separate the scalp strip into smaller pieces. The piece will be divided into up to 2,000 smaller fragments, called grafts.
  4. In order to transplant hair, the surgeon makes tiny holes in your scalp with a needle or blade.
  5. In the puncture holes, the surgeon inserts hairs from the removed scalp piece. This step is known as grafting.
  6. Once the surgery is completed, the site is bandaged or wrapped in gauze.

Follicular unit extraction (FUE)

  1. In order to shave the back of your head, they shave off your hair.
  2. Following this, the scalp skin is peeled away in individual follicles. Each follicle is marked with tiny marks.
  3. In FUT, your scalp is pierced, and hair follicles are planted into the holes.
  4. Once the surgery is completed, the site is bandaged or wrapped in gauze.

The recovery process

It's likely you'll feel pain or soreness where the hair was removed, as well as where the transplant took place.

Due to the effects of the medications, the patient doesn't feel much pain following surgery. However, this totally depends on the patients' pain-bearing capacity. Some may not feel anything, while others may feel severe pain. So one thing is clear: the level of pain varies from person to person as well as from clinic to clinic.
